Dana Point offers a variety of activities to its active over-50 set, and one of these will provide an opportunity to view whales in the wild.
The organizers of the Whale Watching Trip have invited those age 50 and up to climb aboard in mid-March. It will depart from Dana Wharf Sport Fishing, and those interested can either use their own vehicle or take advantage of a service that will transport the passengers from the Community Center to the wharf.
Passengers on the craft may be able to spot both whales and dolphins during the cruise, which will run for two hours. There will be non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks provided. Tickets are $20 each and are still available at the time of writing, although it is anticipated that this will be a popular activity.
Organizers of boat trips and other excursions are often required to provide safety information to their passengers before setting sail. Stationery printers can prepare hard Copies of these so that everyone, including those who are hearing impaired, can join in the fun.
The enrollment system for this whale watching trip planned for March 13 opened yesterday, February 12. Tickets may be purchased by visiting its web listing, which also offers more information. Everyone has been asked to arrive at the wharf by no later than 9:45 am on the day.
