Dana Point welcomes return of Thai eatery

‘Thai This’, a restaurant that closed in 2015, recently opened again in Dana Point, with previous customers and regulars coming back for the soft opening.

The husband and wife team Jib Roungchun and Noi Tanomkret says that customers often asked them when they were going to open again. The had always planned to reopen the restaurant, helped by their love of Dana Point, where they have lived for around a quarter of a century.

The former restaurant closed due to the building being torn down. The owners will be trying to add a great number of healthy and gluten-free items to their menu.

Currently, the restaurant is only open for dinner but plans to offer lunch eventually. The menu has appetizers like shrimp slaw, chicken satay, seafood dumplings, stuffed chicken wings, and shrimp wrapped in egg noodles.

Diners can enjoy hot and sour lemongrass soup with mushrooms, green onions, cilantro, and shrimp. It has a casual upscale dining room with tables and chairs and wood counter with stools.

Pork served with hot red curry sauce is called ‘burning lips’. ‘Red devil’ is beef with red curry, coconut milk, potatoes, onions, and peanuts, while ‘road runner’ is a spicy chicken with roasted chili peppers, and cashew nuts. All entrees come with jasmine white rice. Dana Point has Print shops that design Menus and marketing materials for restaurants like this.

Thai This is located at 34119 Pacific Coast Highway Suite A.
