Dana Point to host fundraiser for children

Dana Point will work with the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PRCF) to host “Bid for the Kids,” a fundraiser that ends next month.

The fundraiser helps children facing cancer. Participants can help the cause by fundraising or donating. Proceeds will go towards research for pediatric cancer. The PCRF hopes that with advancements in research, breakthroughs will help children beat the cancer they are facing. The goal for the fundraiser is $300,000, of which around $40,000 had been raised by the end of September.

The fundraiser will also culminate in a gala at the Ocean Institute. Thiswill feature a dinner, dancing, and live music and entertainment. Organizers are also planning a silent auction where guests can support the cause further. For those not looking to attend the gala, there will also be an online auction.

The PCRF is also offering sponsorship for any group or individual interested in supporting the fundraiser. For events like these, exchanging Business Cards can be an effective way to maintain contact between organizers and sponsors.

Bid for the Kids will conclude with its gala on November 6 at 5:00 PM. Attendees will need to dress in cocktail attire. Tickets to the gala are $450 per person. The Ocean Institute can be found at 24200 Dana Point Harbor Drive. Anyone with more questions can contact Erin Arreola at earreola@pcrf-kids.org or 949-859-6312.
