August will see the first Ohana, a two-day musical festival, being held in Dana Point on Doheny State Beach.
Being referred to as an on-the-beach mini-Coachella, the festival will feature performances from artists both established and up and coming. Day one, a Saturday, will see Grammy-award winning Elvis Costello, and Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder. The next day, Sunday, will offer City and Color, and Lana Del Ray.
In what is hoped to be an annual event, Ohana attendees can spend their time enjoying the grassy areas adjacent to the beach, as well as a diverse musical lineup. Additionally, multiple food options will be available from local restaurants, as well as food trucks throughout the day with wine, craft beer, and signature cocktails.
Success of events such as this one, particularly when it is the first one, often depends on how well they are promoted. Seeking out a flyer printing service is usually the first step. This is may be followed a couple of weeks before the event with a more prominent promotional aid supplied by a banner printing service.
Ohana will take place August 27 & 28 from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Part of the money raised by the event will benefit the nonprofit San Onofre Parks Foundation, which provides assistance in maintaining the state’s coastal parks.
