The Rotary Club, which has chapters all over the world, undertakes a variety of community service projects, and one coming up in Dana Point will add an extra touch of fun to a community festival.
The city’s Festival of Whales will be held in early March, and The Little Pirates Treasure Hunt is one of the activities on the way to the area. It will take place at Baby Beach in Dana Point Harbor, and many of the volunteers will be members of the Rotary Club’s Interact Club for teens.
Families who would like to be part of the fun can purchase a shovel for $10. They can use these to dig for prizes in the sand. They are encouraged to wear their best pirate garb, and the monies raised will help fund a variety of service projects that help kids both locally and around the globe.
When preparing for a special public event, organizers may need to choose appropriate signage and other decor. A banner printing company can meet with them online, in person, or over the phone to discuss the options available.
The Monarch Beach Sunrise Rotary Club has scheduled its Little Pirates Treasure Hunt for Sunday, March 3. The shovels may be purchased starting at 9:00 am that morning, and the dig will begin at 11:00 am.
