Dana Point revs up for classic car show

Dana Point classic car fans will soon be celebrating along with other local gearheads during a special show this summer.

The Dana Point Classic Car Show will be taking place along Del Prado Avenue in August. It is expected to draw a crowd of spectators that numbers in the thousands, and there will be hundreds of cars on display.

The classic vehicles will be rolling in from a wide area, and to help make the occasion even more fun, there will be music and family-friendly activities. Everyone can purchase a bite to eat and a cold drink from one of the food trucks, and the adults can cool off with some refreshments in the beer gardens. Dogs may attend, but they will need to be leashed at all times during their visit.

Anyone who would like to register an entry for the car show can do so now, and everyone who does so will receive a T-shirt as a memento. These will feature a special graphic design. The registration fee is $45, and the final date to sign up is August 22.

The Dana Point Car Show will give gearheads and the general public lots to see and do on August 27. Its Eventbrite listing includes a link to sign up or find out more.
