Dana Point eateries find innovative ways to serve customers

Several restaurants in the area are pivoting, finding new ways to operate as the COVIC-19 pandemic takes hold.

Glaspar Restaurant in Dana Point recently was converted into a fresh seafood market by owner Rob Wilson. He says they saw an opportunity to supply fresh seafood through partner Superior Seafood.

Glaspar’s raw bar can safely store and display the fish. They will be selling salmon, halibut, mahi mahi, ahi tuna, shrimp, clams and scallops. Other items on sale will be fresh produce, bottles of wine, and pre-batched cocktails to go for customers over 21.

Hours are Wednesday noon – 6 pm and Saturday noon – 4 pm, and the eatery is located at 24961 Dana Point Harbor Drive. More hours will be added, and diners are welcome to call for more information.

Likewise, the Craft House has increased the number of comfort food items for customers. They have a web store and phone ordering to help customers order safely. With every order, customers will receive a free roll of toilet paper.

The restaurant curbside menu has grilled meat loaf, mac and cheese, tomato bisque soup, chili, corn bread, chicken wraps, chili cheese dogs, and more, as well as and batch cocktails for those over 21-years-old.

Hours for curbside pickup are Tuesday to Thursday 3- 8 pm, Friday and Saturday 12-9 pm, and Sunday 12-3 pm.

The Craft House fed 1,500 people recently that were impacted financially by the virus. They donated sandwiches to Bracken Kitchen, a nonprofit kitchen and food truck that feeds those in need. Dana Point has printers that design Business Cards for all business needs.
