Many people are fascinated by watching the moon and other bodies at night, and an event has been planned for Burbank that will give them an opportunity to learn more about what they are seeing.
Participants in the Moon Talk workshop, which will be facilitated by the Sidewalk Astronomers, will learn about a variety of astronomical topics, including the Earth’s rotation, the sun, and planetary orbits and how they work. The different appearances of the moon and why the happen will also be discussed, such as a harvest moon, blue moons, super moons, and pink moons. Handouts and other materials for an event like this can be supplied by a printing services company.
After the instructional portion of the evening, the attendees will move to the outdoors where they can try their hand at viewing the sky with telescopes, which will be provided for them by the library. The organizers have planned or it to be a function that combines fun and learning, and it is open to people of any age who want to learn more about astronomy.
The Moon Talk workshop has been scheduled for March 29 at the Burbank Central Library, which is located at 110 N. Glenoaks Boulevard. It will run from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and additional details have been provided on the Burbank Public Library website.
