Burbank to celebrate Earth Day in style

Burbank will soon be joining cities all across the world in celebrating Earth Day, and its event will have fun on tap for young and old alike.

The city has scheduled a morning of active fun for community members, set to take place at 1141 N Pass Avenue. Everyone is reminded to bring along a reusable cup as light refreshments will be served, and they may also want to have their household green pail on hand and full of scrap from their home kitchen, so they can learn about composting.

The kids in the crowd during the event will be able to enjoy the fun that has been planned with them in mind. They can discover how to build terrariums, the value of recycling, develop their literacy skills, color, and even try their hand in a scavenger hunt. The adults will also be treated to age-appropriate activities, as there will be information supplied about how to trim household budgets and help their environment by reducing power and water usage.

A community information fair or similar gathering gives the public and local businesses, not-for-profit groups, and local governmental organizations an opportunity to come together. A welcome sign and other signage can be crafted by banner printing companies.

This day for Burbank to learn how to show Mother Nature some TLC will begin at 9:30 am. It is scheduled for April 13th.
