A nature hike gives families a way to make discoveries in the great outdoors, and a series of these outings will be welcoming Burbank families.
A series of walks will visit various locations in the Burbank area, and during each, the group will be able to observe the species that make them special. The first will visit Echo Park Lake and the birds that call it home, and visits to Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve, Franklin Canyon Park, and other sites are on the agenda for subsequent weeks.
These guided tours will introduce families to the wildlife all around them, and as they go, they will learn how they can become good environmental stewards. They will find out about the various ecosystems found in their area, as well as the threats they face and what people can do to help. Feared towards those who are age seven and up, binoculars will be used on the day.
To support the educational side of such events, offering guests an information packet will help them to keep on making discoveries, and these can be prepared by a local brochure printing company.
The first of the series of Family Ecology Walks will be visiting Echo Park Lake on December 5. Those who are interested can choose to take part in just this outing or all of them, and a special discount is offered to anyone who Books a space in each excursion scheduled.
