The folklore of Eastern Europe includes the tale of the Christmas spider and how they may have inspired the use of tinsel on a holiday tree, and a Brea area class will honor this tradition.
The attendees in the session that will be held at Ipso Facto, which can be found at 517 North Harbor Road in Fullerton, will be crafting wire wrapped Christmas spiders that they can use in the holiday decor. Marggi Markowitz will walk the group through the project, and tickets for the workshop are $28.52 each.
During the activity, Marggi will teach the fundamentals of wire wrapping. The tools and materials required will be included in the registration fee, and there are only spots for up to 10 participants – those from the local area, including Brea, will want to book quickly to avoid disappointment. The class will run for two and a half hours, and it has been scheduled for the evening. No previous experience is required.
Workshops give the chance to “test the waters” when it comes to a particular activity. A poster printing company can work closely with its clients, supplying them with customized marketing options that can be very effective.
This holiday-themed crafting class will teach the basics of wire wrapping by preparing ornaments based on the legend of the Christmas spider on November 17th. It will run from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm, and the planner of the event can be reached by email at ipsofacto@ipso-facto.com.
