Brea environmental project seeks helping hands

There are times when Mother Nature can use a helping hand, and a Brea clean-up project will help towards this.

The city’s Public Works Department has scheduled its 20th annual Inter Coastal Clean Up day, and everyone in the community has been asked to save the date. All help will be appreciated for this occasion, which tends to be a popular affair.

There is a wide assortment of tasks to be undertaken, and they include clearing debris from the Brea Creek Channel and the surrounding riparian areas. Supplies will be provided, but everyone is asked to bring their own gloves and trash pickers if they have any on hand. Sunscreen, a hat, and a bottle of water are highly recommended for each helper. The check-in kiosk for the project will be set up at 175 South Madrona Avenue.

To help take care of the business side of the clean-up, the organizers have created a digital sign-up form and waiver. Stationery printers will be happy to lend a hand with a community service project like this by preparing a wide selection of printed documents, including Letterheads.

This community service project planned for Brea’s waterways will be showing Mother Nature some love on Saturday, September 23. More information, including waivers in both English and Spanish, is available on the city’s website.
