Brea course on offer for field training officers

Law enforcement personnel who would like to add to their skillset are invited to register for an in-person learning opportunity planned for Brea this winter.

The “Scenarios and Tactics for the Field Training Officer” (FTO) course is designed to give officers knowledge and skills they can use when developing training programs. It will be an interactive experience, and it was developed using input from experienced FTO, police, and other subject matter experts.

The two days of instruction will explore the role of an FTO from the ground floor up. It will offer tips for developing excellence in training programs, and techniques that may be useful in teaching adults will be shared. The value of mentoring will be on the agenda, and everyone will be able to put their learning to the test by taking part in scenarios taken from real life situations.

Offering continuing education opportunities provides a way for employees in any field to keep their skills sharp. Training manuals, promotional Pens, and other learning materials may all be obtained from a professional printer, which will be pleased to customize the products it offers.

The Scenarios and Tactics for the Field Training Offer course will begin on February 21st and wrap up the next day. It will be an in-person activity hosted on February 21 and 22 at 1 Civic Center Circle. The organizer also offers an online version of the program.
