An event that may help to take some of the mystery out of fair housing is set to be presented in the Brea area, and it may be helpful to those who own or manage a rental property.
A workshop has been scheduled for Garden Grove to explore fair housing laws at both the state and federal level. While it may be especially helpful to landlords and managers, it can also be useful to realtors, management companies and attorneys, as well as tenants. Registration for the class is free and is available now via California’s Fair Housing Foundation website.
The two-hour session will explore a variety of topics, which range from an introduction to federal and state housing laws to the eviction process. Security deposits, occupancy standards, and rent increases will also be covered, as will housing discrimination, and attendees are invited to ask questions.
When planning an information session, many organizers may find themselves tasked with choosing a source for brochure printing and marketing services. A professional printer will be happy to help, and can work with most budget levels.
The Garden Grove Fair Housing Workshop will be helping to ensure housing is equitable for landlords and tenants alike on Tuesday, April 11. The event will be held at 11222 Acacia Parkway in Garden Grove starting at 2:00 pm.
