An Anaheim-based support group for local youths will be hosting an activity-filled outdoor event next month.
Children ages 7 to 18, their families, and caregivers from Anaheim and its surrounding communities are invited to attend.
The We Out Here event will be the first ever community outreach program hosted by Anaheim Youtopia. Children will be guided through a variety of events, including water balloon games, a tag zone, and a gourmet popcorn bar. WizardBaum will guide the youth through an Art Hunt Demonstration, where children will create their own artwork to hide during the event. There will also be raffle contests, a balloon artist, and food trucks (including vegan options). Raffle contest winners will be announced at the end of the event.
Local vendors will be on site, selling a variety of products and services relevant to Anaheim teens and their families. Small businesses may choose to distribute Promotional Products during the event. Vendors are still needed, and can sign up by visiting the Anaheim Youtopia website.
Anaheim Youtopia is a new virtual community center, offering support to children. Its programming offers cooking classes, homework guidance, therapeutic arts and crafts workshops, and support groups for youths in crisis.
The We Out Here event will be held on Saturday, July 10 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Pearson Park, located on 405 West Sycamore Street. The event is free to attend, but registration in advance on the Eventbrite listing is required.
