Anaheim residents are looking forward to the neon-inspired glitz that defined 1980s music, and a handful of rock legends will soon be returning to the local stage.
The Totally Tubular Festival is now in its third year, so it has already garnered a fair amount of attention. Some bands that participated in past celebrations include Modern English, Men Without Hats, The Romantics, Thomas Dolby, and The Thompson Twins. For 2026 it will be headlined by A Flock of Seagulls, The Motels, and other iconic 1980s groups that left an indelible mark on the entire industry.
The festival, which is expected to sell out, has also become a nationwide phenomenon since its debut in 2024. Cities across the country regularly host this event, and organizers tend to focus on bands that received a fair amount of airtime on MTV.
Festivals known for attracting large crowds will often employ a wide range of marketing techniques. From flyer printing and placing Posters in public venues to offering onsite merchandise, and providing updates via social media circles, many strategies are available.
