According to the American Water Works Association (AWWA), at its annual event in Anaheim, the best tap water in the country can be found in Big Sky, Montana.
Regional winners of water-tasting competitions were judged at the AWWA’s Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE15) held at the Anaheim Convention Center this month. Stationery printers in Big Sky will no doubt be asked to include the best tap water honor on the city’s letterhead.
Following behind first place winner Big Sky County Water & Sewer District was Universal City, Texas. Third place was a tie between last year’s winner, The Boston Water and Sewer Commission, and Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority.
This is the eleventh year for the ‘Best of the Best’ Tap Water Taste Test, which is presided over by a panel of judges who rate samples from each competing water systems. In addition to the official competition results, a People’s Choice water was voted on by conference attendees, and went to Champlain Water District of South Burlington, Vermont.
The AWWA has been holding an annual conference since 1881, making it the world’s longest running water conference. This year, an estimated 12,000 water experts converged on Anaheim for the ACE15. The event brought together more than 500 companies touting the latest in water technology innovation, along with several hundred expert presentations.Get a Free Quote for Stationery
