Open-space eatery set for late January start

Cultivation Kitchen, a restaurant located in a greenhouse, will be opening in late January, near to the Anaheim Packing District.

The restaurant is owned by three partners Dale LaFlem, Gregg Solomon, and chef Joshua Korn. The restaurant measures 1,650 sq. ft. inside and 4,000 sq. ft. outside, with the walls opening up, allowing the building to combine indoor and outdoor space.

The interior promotes the feeling of open space, and has tables and chairs and plants. Meanwhile, the outdoor patio will have olive trees, fire pits, and a bocce court.

The menu will use locally sourced produce and meats, and indeed the restaurant logo design has a shovel to signify that the food comes from local farms and ranches. Joshua Korn, the chef, has worked at several New York restaurants and as a private chef for celebrities.

The menu will serve breakfast and brunch items, including delicacies like blood orange ricotta pancakes. Grass-fed or organic beef, poultry, and fish are also on the menu, along with plenty of side dishes.

The side dishes will be mostly vegan, such as Japanese sweet potatoes, shaved Brussels sprouts, acai bowls, sandwiches, salads, and soups. Refreshments include coffee, tea, beer, and wine.

Cultivation Kitchen is located at 350 South Anaheim Blvd. It will open at 7:00 am every day, and although an exact opening date has not been confirmed, patrons can expect to see it by the end of the month.
