Anaheim java lovers who have a sweet tooth will now have a new place to get their fix, with the opening of Kaffeehaus zum Phoenix at the Phoenix Club.
German and Austrian coffee houses provide the inspiration for this local venue, where live entertainment and an expanded menu of specialty coffees and home-baked cakes await the diner.
Additionally, patrons will find an abundance of gemütlichkeit – or ‘coziness’ in English – at The Phoenix Club. The venue was formed in 1960 as a way of preserving the culture, customs, and languages of the Germanic people, but membership is open to anyone.
All of its dining facilities are open to the public, and people can also purchase tickets for special events. Clubs are often able to increase their membership when the public visits and sees what they have to offer. With the assistance of a local printing company, organizations like The Phoenix Club work to assure the locals that they are welcome, regardless of membership status.
The Kaffeehaus zum Phoenix will be serving several favourites of the Germanic people – such as Apfelstrudel and Schwarzwälderkirschtorte, as well as the club’s own version of Sachertorte mit Schlag. Additional, seasonal specialties will be available, so there will always be something new to try. The new Phoenix Club eatery will be opening today (June 22nd) in the club's gazebo gardens.
