The city of Anaheim recently approved a new budget for the next 12 months that will address a range of necessary improvements. The budget of $570m will be used for community services, parks, libraries, public safety, and roads.
A third dog park will be built in Maxwell Park. It will be on an acre of land with an area for dogs to run and play, and comes with agility equipment, benches, trees, and lighting. It will be built in 2020 and will cost $800,000.
There are plans to develop another park near the Downtown Community Center, coming in at $1m. Planning and work for a new soccer field in La Palma Park will also cost the city $1m.
A new teen room at Brookhurst Community Center will cost $900,000. There will be upgrades to several playgrounds and sports fields across Anaheim, costing $800,000.
Central Library will receive funding for several new improvements. It will get an outdoor area with a performance stage, sandbox, science demonstration area, and trike track costing nearly $350,000.
Euclid Library is scheduled to have landscaping done for $185,000 and Oak Canyon Nature Center was allocated $150,000 for an outdoor laboratory.
The city will spend $75.2 million on improving the sidewalks, traffic lights, bridges, gutters and landscaping. Another $95m will be used to improve Anaheim’s water and electric services.
With so much going on, diversions around the city are likely, and sign and poster printing can help keep people informed in such situations.
