Anaheim utility plans holiday lights trade-in day

Strands of colored lights have long been popular decor items during the holiday season, and an Anaheim activity will offer the opportunity to continue this tradition in an environmentally friendly way.

The community has scheduled a trade-in event for holiday lights, and it will be for customers of Anaheim Public Utilities. Patrons will be asked to show either their government issued ID or a bill from the organization that includes a valid address where they receive service.

The utility company will be distributing strings of new LED lights, and each strand will be 29.5 feet long. To receive one, its customers can drop off an old string or make a contribution of an unwrapped new toy to the drive that will be taking place on the same day. There will also be an opportunity to drop off unwanted electronics for recycling, which will help to keep them out of landfills. Advance registration is required to take advantage of the offer.

Community events may benefit from appropriate marketing. A flyer printing company can offer a variety of options, including items such as promotional Postcards, door hangers, and Brochures for Mailing to area households.

This chance for Anaheim residents to enjoy a holiday season that is more environmentally friendly will be held on November 23rd. The collection point will be set up at Center Street Promenade from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.
