It was recently announced by Iteris Inc., a leader in smart mobility infrastructure management, that the City of Anaheim has approved it to execute its set of cloud-enabled traffic management services.
The company has a contract to provide a smart mobility, sustainability and safety program that will shift the city from traditional manual corridor management and performance monitoring operations to managed services that are cloud-enabled, software-as-a-service solutions (SaaS).
Local governments often turn to printing services to explain budgetary items and how they benefit the public. This is important in getting the public on board for tax levies.
At intersections the city will utilize Iteris’ asset management services, and for arterials it will take advantage of the company’s congestion management services. ClearAsset, Iteris’ asset management SaaS solution, makes it possible for Anaheim traffic operation officials to monitor the travel times and reliability of the city’s arteries.
By identifying congestions hotspots, it becomes possible to predict how highway traffic will impact surrounding arteries, so that signal timing can be proactively optimized across Anaheim’s main thoroughfares.
ClearAsset also enables Anaheim to monitor the condition and whereabouts of technology equipment regardless of whether it is in the warehouse or in the field. Moreover, over time it can monitor asset performance and conduct lifecycle analysis.
The multi-year Iteris initiative has been adopted to reduce carbon emissions, improve traffic flow and promote safety throughout Anaheim.
