Anaheim ready to face the music

The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) will be holding its annual winter trade show here in Anaheim in January.

NAMM is a not-for-profit association that holds a series of trade shows each year to boost the music industry and provide a platform for makers of musical instruments and technical accessories to showcase their innovations.

The trade show works as a business-to-business match up. Moreover, it serves as a means for the public to see the latest in recording technology, sound, and lighting, in addition to the newest innovations for musical instruments.

This year’s NAMM trade show will give C.F. Martin & Co. a venue for celebrating its D-35 Dreadnought acoustic guitar’s 50th anniversary. The company will debut a limited edition model at the upcoming show. No more than 100 of the 50th Anniversary Limited Edition D-35 Brazilian guitar will, according to the company’s website, be made available.

Inquiring minds will want to know if Roland will expand on their TM-2, the hybrid set-up that allowed drummers to affordably add to their acoustic set up. However, matters such as whether or not Roland will be offering four dual-trigger inputs this year, or if Alesis or Yamaha will take up the hybrid drum mantle, will not be answered until the show.

The 2015 Anaheim NAMM trade show will take place January 22-25. Participating companies will likely be well supplied with Brochures and digital Business Cards to hand out to attendees.
