Pickering celebrates Canada Day

There are a couple of events taking place in the city of Pickering on Canada Day.

The City of Pickering will host a celebration at Bay Ridges Kinsmen Park. This afternoon-long event will feature plenty of family-friendly activities and games. There will also be food trucks and a family picnic area. Entertainment will begin at 7:00 PM and there will be a fireworks display at dusk. A free shuttle will be provided to the park from the GO station and both OPG parking lots.

The next will be the Canada Day Celebration at The Bridge in the evening. There will be a free barbecue, carnival games with prizes for the kids, face painting and an obstacle course. At the end of the night, there will be a fireworks festival. Everyone attending is invited to bring their own lawn chairs.

No doubt lots of families in Pickering will want to attend either of these events to celebrate the birthday of Canada. To spread the work, organizers may invest in Flyers from a local Print company.

The celebration at Kinsmen Park will take place on July 1 from 12:00 – 11:00 PM. Contact Sharon Milton at 905-420-4620 for more information.
