Pickering area to host summer jam

This June will see the return of Ajax’s Pickering Village JAMFest, bringing together live music with local food and vendors.

The street festival, originally known as the Pickering Village Jazz Festival, takes place in the picturesque Ajax neighbourhood. The music line-up is aimed at replicating the sounds of 1950s rock, jazz and blues. Headlining acts include the Toronto All-Star Big Band, Boneyard, and The Philcos, with many groups playing multiple times over the weekend on different stages. There will be a number of food trucks offering a variety of cuisines along the street, in addition to the neighbourhood’s permanent restaurants.

JAMFest will also play host to local vendors and small businesses. Local businesses ranging from visual artists to craft jewellers use local festivals such as this to reach new customers, often using special Promotional Products or deals to attract customers.

Admission will be free for the whole weekend. JAMFest will be looking to attract music and food lovers from nearby towns and cities such as Pickering and the Greater Toronto Area. Promotional material stresses that the event takes place over Father’s Day weekend, encouraging visitors to:

“Take the time to walk through the village and enjoy the music and family fun. [...] Spend the day with the kids and enjoy family oriented fun.”

The 2023 Pickering Village JAMFest will take place from June 16 to 18 along King Street in Ajax.
