Springvale area to host dance workshop
An upcoming opportunity for professional development through the medium of dance is set to take place later this year in Melbourne.
Therapists and other mental health professionals from Springvale will soon have the chance to participate in a dance therapy workshop taking place in Melbourne’s Southbank area. The September event is entitled the “Professional Development Workshop” and will be divided into two different sessions, in the morning and afternoon.
Drawing from both practice and research this event is geared toward working therapists who are currently practicing in a mental health context. The workshops are ideally suited to professional dance movement therapists as well as other creative arts-focused therapists interested in exploring an exercise-focused dance therapy and a brief therapy model.
The workshops will feature Dr Jacelyn Biondo from the United States and Dr Ella Dumaresq of the University of Melbourne who will also be key speakers at the event. Those running workshops and other learning opportunities often look to experienced printing services to set print-ready artwork transforming it into booklets, reference manuals and other course materials.
The programme for the workshop includes a morning session in the Dr Tony Gould Room (Room 216) in the Music Building and an afternoon session which will be held in the Performing Arts Building’s Studio 2.
The workshops will take place on Saturday, September 30 at 234 St Kilda Road in Southbank, Melbourne.
