Quizzing experts to be hosted in Heathmont
The community-minded in the Heathmont area who are keen to flex their grey matter will probably be interested in signing up for the Trivia night in a local school in June. Local interest events are often advertised in community brochure printing, undertaken to support and provoke enthusiasm in residents for worthwhile endeavours.
Great Ryrie Primary School is holding a trivia night at the school in order to raise funds. To cater for all interests, as well as the quiz, there will also be games, a silent auction, a raffle, door prizes and backwards bingo.
GRPS sits at the heart of the community – “a respectful and responsible learning community.” Established twenty-five years ago, the school can educate five hundred children, a third of whom have a Language Background Other than English. Celebrating diversity, the school also offers extra-curricular activities such as Visual Arts, performing Arts and Indonesian. The parent community works tirelessly in a volunteer capacity to raise money for funds that can be spread equally amongst the learning, cultural and extra-curricular activities of the pupils so that all may benefit.
The GRPS Trivia Night takes place on Saturday, June 17 in the Brian Allen Hall, Great Ryrie Primary School, Great Ryrie Street, Heathmont, VIC 3135. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. The cost is $25 a ticket. Gold coins and EFTpos available for Silent Auction. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own food and drink.
