Much-loved film to be brought to life in Adelaide

Adelaide residents can soon enjoy a live-to-film cinematic concert experience in the area.

Patrons are invited to watch the 1987 Dirty Dancing film, which has been digitally remastered and will play on a huge cinema screen. It is also tracked by a live band and singers, with the music and singing synched with the original soundtrack, helping to bring the iconic love story of Johnny and Baby to life.

When the film finishes, the party continues, as the band and singers play some of the favourites from the film, enabling the audience to have the opportunity to dance and sing along. Popular songs include (I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life, Hungry Eyes, Be My Baby and She’s Like the Wind.

Because of the popularity of the film, particularly among women, it has often been described as “Star Wars For Girls.”

The event lasts approximately two and a half hours, to include a 20-minute break during the film, which takes place after around an hour.

Flyer printing is one of the ways in which popular events can be advertised within a community.

Dirty Dancing in Concert is taking place at 7.30 pm on Friday, 27 November at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, 98 Port Road, Hindmarsh, Adelaide. Tickets cost from $99. The minimum age to attend is 15.
