World-renowned arts festival scheduled for Adelaide

Adelaide’s world-renowned Fringe Festival is scheduled to return this month, which is dedicated to the celebration of art, culture and artists from around the world.

As an open access festival, Adelaide Fringe partners with hundreds of curators and venues, connecting artists with the people and resources necessary to achieve their vision.

The Fringe does not curate or book artists, instead providing a platform for ticketing and general advertising of the festival as a whole.

Returning for its 64th year, the festival will feature over 8,000 artists in venues within Adelaide and across the state. Audiences for the festival not only drive tourism to the city, but they also typically include hundreds of international industry scouts, looking to book new shows for future touring.

Responsible for advertising their own shows, artists typically turn to flyer and poster printing services, with information for shows displayed on Posters and Brochures available throughout Adelaide and the wider state.

An iconic by-product of the festival, South Australia’s State Library has collected and preserved over 60 years of promotional Posters and Flyers, recording the changing social, cultural, political and personal issues in the broader context of the arts and entertainment community.

With ticket sales increasing year by year, the Adelaide Fringe Festival has become Australia’s biggest arts festival, and is a significant driver of tourism and business to the city of Adelaide. This year, it is scheduled to run from 21, February to 23, March.
