Adelaide AFL fans prepare for state-wide festival

The AFL Gather Round will return to Adelaide this year for nine games over four days. This ‘Festival of Footy’ will bring all 18 Premiership teams together, with five games set to take place at Adelaide Oval and two games scheduled for Norwood Oval.

Featuring a range of events across venues in Adelaide and over the state, the Gather Round Festival will centre on Adelaide’s Elder Park. This is conveniently set opposite Adelaide Oval and will feature four days of free activities and entertainment - including a 150m zip line over the River Torrens, and a showcase of South Australia’s best food and wine vendors.

The Norwood Food and Wine Festival is scheduled to take place on the final day of the festival, bringing live entertainment, music, food and drinks to The Parade, broadcasting games on a series of outdoor screens and inside participating venues. This festival is free to enter.

At sporting events like this one, fans are often able to purchase merchandise prominently featuring the Logo Design of the sports teams they sponsor, or of the event itself.

Taking place during Round 5 of the Premiership, the Gather Round Footy Festival is set to take place in Adelaide from Thursday, 10 to Sunday, 13 April. This takes place over the school holidays for Western Australia, Victoria and Queensland.
