The Most Popular FAQs Regarding Branded Tshirts

Although it might be exciting to begin creating your branded Apparel, you will likely have questions about how to create the best design possible. This blog will help you to find the answers you seek.

What Type Of Artwork Is Acceptable

You can use a variety of formats depending on your design needs. However, a PDF might be the best option. Ensure your designs are high quality (at least 300 d.p.i.) to avoid blurry and distorted printing.

The file format you save is another important aspect. CMYK is recommended for t-shirt printing. You can easily change your design in Photoshop if you don't save it as CMYK.

Remember: Some Photoshop effects can not be used with t-shirt printing. Drop shadows and faded edges are just a few of the many effects that can’t be used with t-shirt printing.

How Can I Determine The Right Size and Location for My Artwork?

While this is a personal choice, there are some standards you can use to help you decide where to place the design. You can place large images on the front (oversized front placement) and back (fullback placement). These design sizes range from 30x35cm to as high as 40cm.

You may prefer a smaller design. The best place for medium designs is the centre chest or upper back. Ask your printer for clarification if necessary.

Can I Mix the Sizes of Shirts in My Order?

Most T-shirt printers allow you to Print the same design in multiple sizes. Additionally, you can choose how many you need. Here's a guideline to help you decide how many sizes you need (if you don’t know the exact sizes for all recipients).

  • XS: 1 %
  • S: 7 %
  • M: 28 %
  • L: 30 %
  • XL: 20 %
  • 2XL: 12 %
  • 3XL: 2 %
