Addressing Invitations to different types of guests

If the couple has different surnames then you would address it to “Jane Doe & Jack Smith” or Mrs Jane Doe & Mr Jack Smith”. Again, you can then follow with the street address.
- Wedding Invitations addressed to single guests: If your guest has no children then you may address the wedding invitation to “Jane Doe” or Miss/Ms Jane Doe”. If the guest has children then you would address the invitation to “Jane Doe and Family” or “Miss/Ms Jane Doe & Family”. You would then write the family’s street address following this. A few useful things to remember would that a widow would be addressed as “Mrs John Doe” and a divorcee would be addressed as “Mrs Jane Doe”.
