What Kind Of Artwork Is Acceptable?
Depending on the size and the type of design you are planning on using, several format types can be acceptable, but the easiest might be a PDF. Always ensure that your designs are of the highest quality as well (at least 300 d.p.i) to avoid blurry or distorted printing.
Another critical aspect is whether your file should be saved as CMYK or RGB. As a general rule, CMYK is preferred for T-shirt printing. If your design is not saved as CMYK, it is relatively easy to change it in Photoshop.
Speaking of Photoshop, remember that not all Photoshop effects are compatible with T-shirt printing. This includes drop shadows, faded edges, glow effects, reduced opacity, and many filters.
How Do I Know The Best Size and Placement for My Artwork?
This generally comes down to personal preference, but there are some standard sizes you might need to keep in mind, depending on where you would like to place the design. For example, the best places to place large images will be on the front (oversized front placement) and the back (full back). Generally, these design sizes will be 30x35 cm, but they can sometimes go up to 40cm.
If you would prefer a smaller design, you may consider placing it on the left chest (7-10cm), The upper back (5-10cm), or the sleeves (2-10cm). The best placement for medium designs includes the center chest and upper back. Ask your printer if you are still unsure.
Can I Mix The Shirt Sizes In My Order?
Generally, T-shirt printers will allow you to Print the same design in various sizes, and you can choose how many of each size you need. A good framework for how many of each size you should order (if you don’t know the exact sizes of all recipients) is as follows:
XS: 1 percent
S: 7 percent
M: 28 percent
L: 30 percent
XL: 20 percent
2XL: 12 percent
3XL: 2 percent
How Can I Make My Print Last Longer?
When ordering branded T-Shirts, it’s a given that we would want them to last as long as possible. Here are some of the best tips to help you extend the lifespan of your favourite tee:
- Wash in cold water.
- Don’t use bleach or heavy detergents.
- Set your dryer at a moderate temperature.
- Wash your shirt inside out.
- Wash with other similar items.
