The history - colour printers

The history behind colour printers certainly is a fascinating and interesting journey that can be traced throughout the world’s history. Dating back as early as the 13th century, full colour printing was not made accessible to the general public until much, much later in history. This was not because the demand was not present for it, or on the side of any powers that wanted to keep it out of reach of the common man, but the techniques and technology of the day simply would not have made it feasible.

To illustrate this, consider the following: Each colour Print had to run through the printers once for each colour used in the print. This equalled an unparalleled amount of work and effort that would go in to each print. This is why, until the 19th century, colour printing was not that popular. This changed through with new advancements being made along with other industry revolutions in the 19th century.
