The Blues to come to Virginia

The Tinner Hill Blues Festival is taking place this June for three days, presented by the Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation.

Various events are planned to take place at a number of Falls Church venues during the festival. There are set to be several concerts, both paid and free, and some of the artists confirmed to appear include Jimmy Thackery and Arlen Roth among others.

The first night will feature the Boogie Woogie Blast at the State Theatre. Tickets are $24 each and those appearing include Kenny ‘Blues Boss’ Wayne, Deanna Bogart, and Daryl Davis. The next day will feature the all-day Blues, Brews and BBQ at Cherry Hill Park. Tickets for this are $15 in advance or $20 at the door, or $25 or $30 for VIPs.

The festival will also feature film showings, food for sale, children's activities, and vendors. Arlen Roth will also be hosting a guitar workshop and there will be a farmers' market. The exhibition ‘Envisioning Blues’ will also be showing for the entire month of June.

Organizers of this event will likely advertise in surrounding areas such as Arlington, possibly with Brochures or Flyers obtained from local Print companies.
