Arlington families will not want to miss the annual July 4th celebration here in town. The day will be filled with games, food, live music and fireworks.
The festivities will include
drop-in kickball and lawn games, a moon bounce and balloon art for the little ones, face painting and will be a great location to see the National Fireworks. A Home Run Derby competition will be held in the evening. United Social Sports will be organizing drop-in games such as giant jenga, giant Pong, giant Connect Four, bocce and cornhole. Parks and Recreation will be offering free family games. These will include hula hoop tricks, games and a contest, giant parachute fun and group games such as Life Boat and Dragon Tails.
Steve Laun will be this year’s headliner in the entertainment line-up. Steve has played with the Hollies since 2004 and also writes his own songs, many of which can be heard on his two solo albums. He is presently working on his third album. Other performers will be CAZHMIERE, a six-member cover band that will play music hits from the 80’s, 90’s to the present. Genres will include current pop, new country, dance and modern rock.
Everyone will want to mark their Calendars for July 4th. The event will be held in Long Bridge Park, 475 Long Bridge Drive, Arlington from 5pm until 10.
