The Arlington County Housing Divsion and Resilient Virginia’s 14th annual Arlington Home Show and Garden Expo has been re-scheduled for the end of June. Over 1200 visitors are expected.
The show will feature over 75 contractors, architects, landscapers, banks, master gardeners, nonprofits and other businesses, agencies and organizations associated with home and gardens.
Attendees can get information about remodeling, basement waterproofing, window, door, flooring and siding replacement, and security systems. Exhibitors will be passing out information and discussing technologies, green products, home décor upgrades and outdoor living.
Arlington County Government will have staff answering questions regarding green building, historic preservation programs, inspection services, code enforcement, housing, aging, disability and zoning. This will be in the “Ask an Expert” area.
Fourteen free one-hour classes and workshops will be available. The Green Room will have topics such as turning a lawn into a garden, solar, decluttering, and preventing basement flooding. The Yellow Room will feature board member basics, plumbing repair, drywall hole repair, and a 2-hour small landlord law seminar. The Blue Room will have choosing a contractor, moving, financing, condo nuisances, and accessory dwellings. Guests that attend classes such as these often ask the facilitators for their Business Cards.
The 2020 Arlington Home Show and Garden Expo will be Saturday, June 27th from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm at Kenmore Middle School, 200 S. Carlin Springs Road.
