Awesome Con is coming back to Washington, D. C. for this May, offering a three-day celebration of popular culture, television, and movies.
This year's convention has confirmed some high profile guests. They include William Shatner and George Takei of Star Trek, along with Alex Kingston and James Marsters.
In addition to the celebrity guests, the event will feature discussion panels, costume and trivia contests, gaming tournaments, and children's activities. The dealers’ room will feature items for sale related to popular culture, as well as an Artists’ Alley. Also taking place over the three-day event will be the Super Art Fight, which is a live drawing battle on stage.
VIP packages are available for fans who want to meet Shatner and Marsters; ticket holders will receive an autograph, photograph, T-shirt, art Print, and special comic book.
Fans from all over the area, including Arlington, will want to attend at least one day of this event. To help advertise, organizers might invest in the services of a local poster printing company.
Awesome Con is being held from May 29 to 31 at the Washington Convention Center. A three-day pass costs $79.32, Friday and Sunday tickets are $31.73, and Saturday tickets are $42.30, with VIP tickets ranging in price from $158.63 to $317.25.
