Kentucky-themed event offers BBQ flavor

The Derby Q Festival is taking place in Fairfax very soon, and is also known as the BBQ, Blues, Bourbon and Brews Festival.

The main event of the day will be a live screening of the Kentucky Derby on a big outdoor screen. There will also be craft beer tastings and barbequed food to purchase from several vendors. Dougie Wylie, known as ‘the Scotch Whisky Man’, will be hosting two separate whisky tastings. Music will be provided by artists such as Moonshine Society and Clarence ‘Bluesman’ Turner.

Race fans from all over the area, including Arlington, might want to take the trip to attend this festival. To help spread the word, local printing companies may be asked to provide advertising materials such as Booklets or Brochures to be distributed in the area.

The Derby Q Festival will take place at the Old Town Hall in Fairfax this Saturday, May 2, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. General admission tickets are $10 and free for children aged three and under, although children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a person aged 21 or over. The beer tasting package alone is $25, and the whisky and beer tasting package is $65, with both including a souvenir glass, eight tasting tickets, and one Kentucky Derby mint julep tasting.
