The 39th Celebrate Fairfax Festival is still scheduled for the beginning of June.
The festival venue will offer 25 acres of concerts, exhibits, carnival rides, games, and family programs. Fireworks will close the grounds every night.
Seven stages sprinkled throughout the grounds will feature of 120 local, regional and national performers. Heading the lineup will be Sugar Hill Gang, Hoobastank, Fuel, Young MC, and Rob Base.
The annual Fairfax County Karaoke Championship will have three rounds of competition. The eSports Arena will have a 2-day Star Craft ll Tournament and tournaments for video games like FIFA, Madden, and Smash Brothers. The arena will also offer have “open play” over the entire event. DockDogs will hold its own Fairfax County Dockdogs Competition, for canine aquatics.
On the Sunday, Arlington runners will be lining up to run the Celebrate Fairfax 5K. Trivia enthusiasts can enter this year’s Teams Trivia Contest, and donut aficionados can enter the donut eating contest.
Other activities going on around the festival will include the Love Artwork photo op outside the Government Center building. Patrons will be lining up at the Great American Restaurants Prize Wheel to spin for gift cards. The Fairfax Water Bar will again be handing out free water on Main Street. The AT&T Community Village is where the local nonprofit organizations and local county government agencies will be passing out Business Cards with information regarding their programs and services.
Celebrate Fairfax will be June 5-7 at the Fairfax Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway.
