Home Show goes virtual for 2021

The 15th annual Arlington Home Show & Garden Expo is going online for three days in May. Over 1,200 viewers are expected.

The event will offer more than 75 contractors, home builders, architects, realtors, banks, inspectors, and landscape designers.

Guests can get information about home improvements such as bath and kitchen remodeling, basement refinishing and waterproofing, window, door roof, siding and flooring replacement, and security systems.

Many guests at shows like this collect Business Cards from the exhibitors that pass out information on green cutting-edge technology and products, home decorations, and outdoor living ideas.

Nonprofit organizations will have members passing out information about their programs and services.

An “Ask an Expert” area will feature Arlington County zoning, housing and inspection representatives answering housing questions. Information will be available about building a green home, the Historic Preservation Program and Arlington Aging and Disability Services. Virginia Cooperative Office will send Master Gardeners to answer questions about yards, plants, and trees.

Eight presenters will be giving free seminars over the three days. On the Saturday, topics will be about remodeling, home turf alternatives, moving, and small landlord laws. Sunday’s topics will be solar energy, home renovation budget, building analyst and plumbing repair.

Arlington Home and Garden Expo will take place May 22 and 23 from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm on the Arlington Home Show & Garden Expo website. Webinars will be available through Zoom.
