The Arlington County Fair is returning to the city for five days this August.
The theme of this year's fair is ‘Urban Adventure’. It is part old-fashioned county agricultural fair and modern day amusement park. There will be both indoor and outdoor events taking place during the event, and some of those already confirmed to perform on the indoor stage are the Calico Cloggers, SuperNova, and Saffron.
A whole slate of competitive exhibits will also be taking place over the five days. Some of the categories of competition include crafts, food preservation, baked goods, and country carving.
There will be a complete midway featuring some of the most popular amusement rides. Tickets for the rides are $1 each, $20 for 24, or $49 for 48.
Other events will feature racing piglets, pony rides, a scavenger hunt and the Harlem Wizards. Vendors will also be on hand to sell general merchandise and arts and crafts. Sponsors will be recognized with free booth space, a listing in the exhibits guide, and on-site Banners and Posters. Fees start at $2,000.
Arlington banner printing companies are often asked to provide Banners to recognize sponsors. They can be any size and can fit in with any decor.
