May means it’s time for the annual Taste of Arlington.
This will be a street festival with live entertainment, where more than 50 restaurants will be offering sampling of their signature fares. The event will also include a Girls on the Run 5K and a Dog Bark Park.
Local restaurants will offer everything from pizza, to baked goods, to barbequed wings. Guests will need to purchase a $35 after May 1, and $40 after May 15 taste book that will enable them to sample 10 items.
Live music will be coming from the venue’s two stages. The Main Stage will have the Kelly Bell Band, White Ford Bronco, The Big Payback, and Lost in Paris. The VIP Stage will feature the Lost Growlers, Huntley, Audiostrobelight, and His Dream of Lions.
The event will also feature arts and crafts and children’s activities in the KidZone. Activities will be available for toddlers to teens. Carnival games, a rock-climbing wall, inflatable games, and the Washington Nationals mobile entertainment truck are scheduled. DC United will be handing out free promotional items, which tickets for the games will be available online and on BallstonConnect.
Everyone will want to mark their Calendars for May 15. The event is scheduled to begin at noon and end around 5:00 pm. Proceeds will go to the Arlington Community Foundation and the Virginia Hospital Center. Get a Free Quote for Calendars
