Art festival to span the full spectrum

The 2nd annual Arlington Festival of the Arts will be taking place during the third weekend in September.

The festival, which takes place in the Clarendon District, is expected to feature more than 100 arts and crafts vendors; both those based local and from approximately 30 other states. This is a juried festival, and those chosen to display and sell their art works are going to be offering items such as sculptures, jewelry, paintings, ceramics and other handmade items. Prices are expected to range from $25 for earrings up to $50,000 for a sculpture.

There will be a special art giveaway of ‘Growing wild with color’; a stainless steel wall sculpture made by Connie and Jimmy Langford. It is valued at $450 and the draw will take place on the Sunday.

In addition, the Clarendon Alliance is hosting a food festival at Clarendon Boulevard and Highland Street, which will feature food trucks.

Organizers of such events often invest in sign and poster printing services in Arlington. These help them to recognize any sponsors and to attract more visitors.

The Arlington Festival of the Arts will take place on Highland Street from September 20 to 21 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm each day. Admission is free. To find out more about the festival, or about the art giveaway, call 561-746-6615.
