The 8th Annual Arlington Festival of the Arts is coming to Washington Boulevard toward the end of April.
Around 150 artisans from around the country will be selling handmade, original items across various media, such as pottery, photography, painting, sculpture, jewelry, digital, printmaking, acrylic, fiber, and mixed media. Pricing ranges from $15 for silver jewelry, to $50,000 for sculptures. Each artist and craftsperson has been carefully selected by a highly qualified jury composed of experienced craftspeople, and 2-D and 3-D fine artists.
Each booth will be a 10x10’ white canopied gallery with 2-D displays for the photographers, painters and mixed media artists, 3-D displays for the glass, wood, ceramic, Raku, and pottery artisans and jewelry displays of mica or wood.
Artisans that participate in events such as this often bring Business Cards to give to interested parties.
Food vendors under white canopies or beside carts will be selling the usual hot dogs, lemonade, kettle corn and sno-cones. Visitors are also encouraged to browse surrounding streets for good local eateries.
The Festival of the Arts will take place on North Highland Street at the corner of Washington Blvd and N. Highland, 10:00 am until 5:00 pm Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25. Admission will be free and timeslots for visitors can be booked on Eventbrite.
