The annual Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis is taking place this December in Arlington. Proceeds will go to the Arthritis Foundation for research and programs.
Taking place in the form of a 5K race, participants are encouraged to dress up in holiday-themed costumes. Participants can enter as individuals or as a team and must register before November 26. Fees are $35 for all ages. In addition, those who raise $30 or more extra from pledges will receive a special bandana (or ‘fundana’, as it is being called). Awards will be given out in various categories.
After the main race is over, there will be a children's fun run. Fees to enter are $15 and the race is open to those aged 12 and under.
Later in the evening, the Let it Row holiday celebration is planned for the Plaza at Pentagon Row. Set to feature an on-ice fireworks display, live entertainment, a $1,000 shopping spree giveaway, and music from DJ Saucee, guests will be able to enjoy food samples too.
