Arlington recognizes excellence in independent films

The Eleventh Annual World Music And Independent Film Festival (WMIFF) 2020 will take place at the end of January.

The festival pays homage to those cinema artists in the independent film industry and features the top independent films for this last year. Some of the WMIFF nominees have been previous Golden Globe, Emmy and Oscar nominees. Guests that attend functions such as this usually bring their updated Business Cards for networking opportunities.

A red carpet interview will take place in the morning, and a lunch will begin at noon as will the showing of the Best Music Videos. During the afternoon, the gala will feature the award winners, dancing and live performances. In the evening, the Richmond Room will show five short films.

‘Ophelie’ will begin the series, and that will be followed by ‘A City in Chaos’ at 5:30 pm. ‘Chained’ will begin at 6:00 pm, and two 15 minute films – ‘Lollipop’ and ‘Home’ will be shown from 6:00 pm until 6:30 pm. ‘Raised on a Rock’ will finish the evening starting at 7:00 pm.
