Arlington racers will be lacing up their running shoes for the upcoming Crystal City Twilighter 5K. The run will start after the heat of the day and for most runners will continue on into the midsummer night. Thousands of runners are expected to attend.
Registration will be $28 for youth and between $38 and $50 for adults. Preregistration can be done online or on site beginning at 6:30 pm. These fees also will include post-race refreshments, pizza, karaoke and live entertainment presented by Hot Beats.
Registrants will have three premium options. The first will be race Apparel with the event Logo Design on them. The second will be $10 retail bucks from the Pacers Store, and the third will be a Doorways for Women and Families $5 donation.
Those wishing to compete in the Karaoke competition are submitting clips on Instagram of their talents or a short pitch on why they should be included in the competition. All entries will probably be included. After the performances, a Karaoke Queen and King will be crowned.
The Arlington County Fire Department will be giving demonstrations on hands-on CPR training on site.
The course route begins and ends outside the 2121 Crystal City at the Crystal City Drive Courtyard. The race will be July 20, starting at 8:00 pm. Everything should wind down around 10:00 pm.
