Arlington plays kickball for charity

The 2021 annual Safe At Home Kickball Tournament has been scheduled for the end of November.

The event will open with coffee and donuts at 8:00 am and the opening ceremony will take place at 8:30 am. Tournament instructions will be given at 8:40 am, and the tournament will begin at 9:00 am. From then until around 2:00 pm when the Championship round begins, there will be plenty of kickball, music, and food. There will be a lunch break for the teams from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Games will be played in a round robin format with 45 minutes from scheduled start time or five innings, whichever comes first.

Players, volunteers and vendors will be treated to a free lunch and one drink tickets. Spectators will be charged for their lunches.

Registration is $825 per team and includes one T-shirt sporting this year’s event graphic design per team member, and team name or Logo Design on event website. The shirts will also have each sponsor’s logo design from five sponsorship levels.

The kickball tournament is a fundraiser for Bridges to Independence – an organization that helps Arlington families overcome homelessness. A volunteer photographer will be taking pictures of the event for the organization to use in its community outreach brochure printing.

The Safe At Home Kickball Tournament will take place Saturday, November 20 at Long Bridge Park, 475 Long Bridge Drive.
