Annual fair returns to Arlington this August

The Arlington County Fair is taking place for five days next month.

Families will be kept entertained with carnival rides, pig races, and a 5K run/walk. Musical entertainment will be provided by The Unexpected, Half Past 3, and many other local artists getting a chance to shine on stage.

The event will open with an evening parade, which will travel from the Arlington Career Center to the fairgrounds. Local businesses and organizations are encouraged to participate in the parade, for which fees are $35 for nonprofits, $50 for fair vendors, and $60 for commercial businesses.

The fair will have lots of children's activities, including face painting, bounce houses, and a kids' basketball court. There will also be pony rides, a cows n' corn milking demonstration, bingo games, and a hip-hop workshop. Visitors will get an opportunity to adopt pets, watch fitness demonstrations, and take part in fair competitions.

Arlington poster printing companies often provide products to organizers of these types of events for advertising purposes.

The Arlington County Fair will be held at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center from August 5 to 9. The parade will take place on August 5, beginning at 6:00 pm. Admission is free and ride tickets cost $1 each, $20 for 24 or $40 for 48. For the latest on this event, visit the official website.
